fast forward, stop, rewind, slow mo.
i read gino & ponch's post about click (the movie, you nimwit, not the teenybopper show on channel 7!). i haven't actually watched the movie yet, but their posts made me want to watch it.
It was something in their posts..
from gino:
"i enjoyed the movie but i was really bothered by some parts of it. i didnt expect that some supposedly funny movie had its way of disturbing my thoughts. i think most of us can relate to the message that the movie is trying to reveal. most of us are caught up with work, hoping for promotions and dreaming of a bright future in our chosen careers while unknowingly we neglect one of the most important aspects in our lives, our family. work takes up most of our time that we barely have time for God, family, friends and even ourselves."
and from ponch:
"Are you always in a hurry? Don't be, or you will miss out on the more important things in life. Separate work from home; if you work from home, be aware of the hours you spend working over the hours you spend living with your housemates. If you need to go overtime, do so. Then play, live, love. Spend time with your family, friends, and the ones close to your heart. They are treasures you can keep for life. Work will always be there, but it would not make you truly happy; it can kick you out anytime it wants to."
ouch. right on the money.
my mom keeps on telling me to go home early if im on ASIA shift. but, the thing is, when im on ASIA shift my brain kicks in after lunch - halfway thru my shift! i can only count the days wherein i can say that i started REALLY working at 8 or 9 am. or maybe its because of the lack of sleep.. hrmm.. oh yeah, that must be it. my body clock's really whacked. heehee. :P
she also tells me that i look old for my age already. nooooo!! its the eyebags. huhu. i already have dark circles under my eyes, and there are already fine lines on my forehead. crap. so much for being 21 and the youngest in the family. hrmph.
and that i work 24/7. naa-uhh! not true. i do sleep, you know (ops, ops, walang hihirit! natutulog naman ako aaa). for the love of WOM & SMA. hay.
okay okay, ill try to go home early this week. but you cant force me not to go online when i get home, its BAT/NNIT season! and ill spend my CDOs after the release. and ill try to read a NEW book every month. and watch a movie once in a while. and give mama bear a bath (hehehe.). and babysit rica. and.. hrmm. what else...
