after a long summer of nagging when the rex outing will be, it finally pushed thru last saturday, june 18.

we were supposed to meet at the tambayan at 8:30, but like typical rex people, the time was pushed back to 10. for one thing, i was still burning the rex files for turnover to charm, and ish was still researching journal articles for sir pros (thesis. ugh.) ish,carlos,kmart,renz,teejay,charm,jamo,jay,jerry,nhiza and i left up at 10am, right after ish emailed the journal articles to her groupmates. carlos was the only one who brought a car. we planned to stuff ourselves in carlos' car, but we thought better - he might get caught in EDSA going to ayala. =P so ish,jerry,jay,charm and i took a taxi to g4, and the others rode in carlos' car.

a funny thing happened to carlos' group on the way to g4 - the trunk opened in the middle of EDSA! =D

the original commuters were the ones who took the bus to EK, since we were the ones who finished eating first, while the others "crammed" lunch and then followed in the car.

carlo & jael met us at EK. but while waiting for them, we had a go at Dodgem, Roller skates, and at Anchors Away. after the 1st round of anchors away, carlos went back to his car to change into shoes - his slippers broke. hehehehe. he also went to fetch jael & carlo at the entrance. so, while waiting for them (yes, we did a lot of waiting), we had another go at Anchors Away (making it 2 for us), and on the Wheel of fate, buying drinks in between.

After that, we rode on the other rides - jungle log jam (where carlos, teejay, charm and i won best group pose and ish won the best solo pose for the "aiza seguerra" imitation), space shuttle (kmart & renz sat this one out. yieeeeeeee!), rialto, flying fiesta, grand carousel aaaand, the rio grande rapids! whohooooooooo! =P

we all rode the 1st time, then jay, jael, jamo and carlo sat out the second one, then...uhrmmm... i forgot who didnt go on the ride. anyway. on our 3rd go at the rapids, all of us got wet except for carlos. our mission on the 4th round: get carlos VERY WET! and, yes, we succeeded! >:) mwahahahahaha! oh, and renz broke his umbrella at the rio grande rapids - and got extremely wet in the process. hehehehe.

then we ate at jollibee. i turned over the rex files to charm - there was no cande, so we made do with the french fires & ketchup (dont ask.) =P we convinced (uhrmm.. ok, blackmailed) ish and carlos to stay till 7pm (they were supposed to leave at 5pm for the arise acquaintance party). whohoooo! and to save the best for last, we rode the carousel, to fulfill kmart's wishes. hehehe.

it was a fun fun day!
