one month and counting...
yup, 1 month before we split up. :( the team, you nimwit, the team!
hay, here we go again, nagpaka-drama mode nnmn po ako. :( o kristine, wag kang malungkot a! :P
for the 1st year anniversary of SM Professions, a special newletter was released - it contained all profiles/writeups of the other teams which were not yet featured in the previous newsletters. here's the article that i wrote (edited already by gudj, since the original one was too long. :P):
Once upon a time, in a building called Robinson’s Summit, there were two teams. As separate entities, they are known as the Applications DBA team and the Web Solutions Service Management Team. However, when people hear that, they just stare at you with a blank expression on their face. But when you say “Under kami kay Mark Tan”, the spell is magically lifted and everything becomes clear.
If you visit their domain, here are some of the things that you will hear:
“Down ang WOM at CSP! Penalty nanaman! Broken Pipe error nanaman sa pagrecycle!”
“Bakit nagf-full table scan tong query na to? Ano ba yan, bakit walang stats tong table na to?! ”
I see that you’re getting that glazed look on your face again. To learn more about these two teams, read on:
........ (edited out, sorry)
Mark’s team
Come to think of it, the Webapps SM and DBA teams are so tightly knit that other people know us collectively as Mark’s team. This can be attributed to the fact that we have, ever since, been in close proximity of each other ever since the teams were established – both during office hours and off-hours. Some of us are certified divers, dog lovers, ragnarok addicts, bookworms, basketball players, while some are certified videoke addicts (well, ok, almost all of us). And we do enjoy throwing a surprise for someone in the team – either because its their birthday, or a despedida. And boy, once someone tells a story, or teases someone.. It just keeps on going, and going, and going..
Two teams. Each having their own identity, yet are known as one. There will come a time when these two teams must part ways, but they’ll never be truly apart.
The End.

Gudj took out the technical part which Letlet said was a good thing. :) Kristine, on the other hand, felt sad because of the ending.. :( I wasn't sure if I can write in the article that the team's going to split up, so i just "reworded" it. heehee. :P
Jenny (aka DBA goddess) requested that there be a one last "team outing" before the team parts ways. So we're having one. the loong overdue team building which will turn out to be the team despedida. haha. We'll be having the outing during the 3rd week of october. i hope everyone comes! :) Ocular na to! >:)
Ansaya, nagbowling kami kanina after ng game nina jenny at josie. heehee :) kaso wala ung pics sa akin. I'll post it when i get a copy. At kumain kami sa Kipps. Haaay, pinayaman nanaman namin si cua. mwehehehehe :P
