HuaPak!

*looks at the date* has it really been that long? gaaahhh.. well, maybe. some things ended, some began, and some.. well, some just keeps on going. =P

we had our offsite last aug 19 at island cove. and boy, the 2 weeks before that were sheer hell! why? 2 reasons: a video and a presentation. hey, don't get me wrong - i had a blast doing the two of them.

yes, 1 week of shooting, and another week for editing.. well.. make that a 8 days of shooting and 4 hours of editing (nyahaha. yes, oh yes!) first off, the weather wasn't cooperating! we were supposed to have an outdoor shoot, since we were doing a LOTR spoof, but noooooooooo! it had to rain EVERY DAY that week. hrmph. to compensate.. we projected a forest background using our laptops and then shot the scenes inside. pretty ingenious, huh? you should see the video. *wink* and then after days of shooting.. we couldnt find the cable for the video cam! and we couldn't use just any cable - we had to use one that'll fit a microMV cam. hrmph. and since KC & I were so desperate... we bought the cable - at 600 pesos! ouch! *sob*

and then the day before (or should i say, the night before) the offsite, cha, gino, mshel, kd, tops & i stayed overnight at HP. nyahahaha. for what? well, to practice for the presentation, of course! damn new hires presentation. i think tops got scared/freaked out when cha, kd, mshel & i got all hyper. hehehe. although i think not too much - he was laughing at our antics. =P

*sings* "awimba-wop, awimba-wop, awimba-wop,awimba-wop, awimba-wop, awimba-wop, awimba-wop, awimba-wop.. In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the lion sleeps toniiiigghhhttt"...

and while we were practicing, i was checking on gie & how the editing was going. *sob* and before anyone asks, YES! we took a bath before going to island cove! thank heavens the gym was already open at 7am! =P

come to think of it... i wasn't really able to enjoy the offsite. i was running around during lunchtime (oh well, what's new.. =P) because we had to do some last-minute editing in the video (and my battery almost conked out!).. and we had to practice for the presentation as a whole... and of course the sportsfest.. and the games sounded awfully familiar.. until i found out that UP Engg people organized it. hehe. (so that's why they had sumo wrestlengg!) and i missed the team picture because of all of this! *sob sob sob*

but at least we had a CURSOR@HP picture taking!

and look! we even got jill to pose with us! hehehe. In the picture are: me, jessie, rose tapay, mshel, chubbs, chris r., gino, kd, ej, lou, mike, sars, cha and of course, jill olazo. not in the picture are leah rutaquio and des macatulad (who's in germany at the moment). Like lou said in her email, she's not sure if this is the most number of CURSOR alumni working for one company (16 alumni). haha. pressure, pressure for the next batch! (joke!)

... did anyone notice that sars & i are wearing the same shirt (FOPC 2005 shirt)? hehehe. sars & i had a good laugh over that one. =P

and the new hires' presentation.. well... let's just say that its a... "one time big time kahihiyan!" im just glad that we got it over with. hehehe. (mike danced totoy bibbo! *LOL!*)

although i was really bummed out when we missed the LT presentation (kudos to jessie for teaching the LT!) and the tribtue to paul martin! *sob* stupid database. *mumblegrumblemumble* at least i got to talk to paul after the program.

and then after the evening program - team bonding! hehe. nice, real nice.
