@home - i'mb sick.
Last Saturday, my throat was itchy and I had a runny nose – a sure sign that I’ll be having a cold & cough the following day. And I did. But it was bad – I don’t feel that good, and I have a constant headache. Oh, and I get a fever every 6 hours.
But when I woke up at 6am yesterday, I felt fine and went to the office. But when I got there, the headache came back, I feel a bit groggy, and at lunchtime I had another fever.. I drank the medicine I brought with me, and I felt fine in the afternoon.
Come 7pm, I didn’t feel so good again. I asked my brother if he could pick me up at the office, and I asked my manager if I could skip the training at 10pm, since I don’t feel so good. But he was in a meeting so I just texted him. When he came out of the meeting, he told me that if I feel under the weather again today, I can stay at home.
When my brother picked me up, I was burning up again. And when I got home, I told my mom what my manager told me and she said that I should stay at home tomorrow (today). So I told him, and my team lead that I’ll be on sick leave today.
I hate being sick. I hate even just FEELING sick. *sigh* I thought of what I did last week and oddly enough, I did nothing to trigger this. Haaaaaaaayyy… Anywaaayyy…

Happy birthday idol chubbs! *hugz*
Idol chubbs is the top 2 of our batch in CS, my orgmate, extreeeemly friendly, and she still has a social life!
I met chubbs during our application period in CURSOR. All I knew about her is that she’s chesca’s blockmate, and an alien ( = always gets TOP grades ). But I got to know here better in our senior year – she’s my classmate in 173, and of course, we were the ones who always have big eyebags because of our thesis and other projects.
Come to think of it, everyone gets to know everyone during thesis time. (
In fact, their thesis was one of the finalists in the Undergraduate Research Competition (URC) together with 10 other thesis projects, 3 of which came from CS. (rl, rein & Jessie; kd, Kevin; chubbs, ponch & ligaya)
And during the College Recognition Rites, I was sooo proud – I had a blockmate (Alex) and orgmate (Chubbs) who were among the top 5 students in the WHOLE college, the top 2 students of our batch in CS, and they’re both good friends of mine!

gaaaahhh. Once again, I hate being sick.

ooh, ooh, I have an ipod nano! My mom bought it for me on her Singapore trip. Now that alone deserves a separate blog entry. ( No, not the ipod, my mom’s Singapore trip! My mom being a non-techie person, and having 2 sons and a daughter who are IT-fluent (is there such a word? (), and going to a country where gadgets are soooooo cheap (read: laptops are almost 30K cheaper than laptops here!), is a VERY funny story.
But I’ll blog about it when I’m feeling better.
And as for me, another headache’s here again.. Ate Cita heard my coughing fit earlier, and she gave me a hot mug of tea w/ calamansi to drink. Which feels sooooo nice and comforting. (
